Flu Vaccine
Every year, Americans go through the “flu season” throughout the fall and winter as the highly contagious influenza virus begins to spread among friends, family, and co-workers. The length and severity of the flu season can vary, but the best way to reduce your risk of getting sick with influenza is a simple flu shot offered at Argyle Urgent Care (AUC).
What is the Flu Vaccine?
The flu shot is created by using either inactive or weakened (attenuated) samples of the virus that cannot infect patients. The vaccine prompts the immune system to create specific antibodies that are ready to protect the body if the virus is introduced to the body. There are many different types and strains of influenza, so each year, medical experts determine what will be the most common flu viruses for the season to create the trivalent (three-component) and quadrivalent (four-component) vaccines that will be made.
Our experienced staff can quickly and efficiently help you and your family get flu shots at our location to stay protected for this year’s flu.

OUR PATIENTS SAY

Visited this facility with my daughter as an Urgent Care visit on 10/20/20. Check-in was quick and efficient. Both the nurse (Katie) and physician (Dr. Kipp) were friendly and welcoming and made my daughter feel at ease. The care was not rushed and the facility was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

Excellent care that gives the small down vibe. When I went here for a horrible ear infection I liked how they were little bit away from Denton but right off Country Club Road. They were very helpful even when I had to call back and bug them with some insurance information.

I came in at 1 am in quite a bit of discomfort and pain. The front desk staff was friendly and they took me back very quickly. Nurse was very friendly and caring. The doctor was thorough.
Clean and well run office! I work in the medical field and I liked what I saw and experienced. I won’t hesitate to return if needed.
