ABOUT FOREIGN OBJECT REMOVAL
A foreign object is anything that is not meant to be in the body, including splinters, pieces of toys, insects, and other small items. If it is introduced, the object may become stuck and may cause harm. These foreign objects may be put into the body on purpose or accidentally during a car accident or another incidents. At Argyle Urgent Care, our experienced team can help remove foreign objects that are stuck in the ears, nose, or under the skin of both children and adults. If a foreign object has entered your (or your child’s) ears or nose, it should be checked by a medical professional even if it is not causing discomfort or bleeding to ensure it does not cause trauma to the body. If you or a family member has a foreign object in the ear, nose, or under the skin.
